Paula Tran is a Kelowna-based journalist whose work has been featured in Xtra Magazine, QP Briefing, Spacing, Global News and many more. She is a reporter for Kelowna Capital News, one of Kelowna’s oldest community papers.
Prior to the Capital News, Paula was a freelance journalist in Toronto. She is the former news editor for On the Record News (formerly called the Ryersonian), one of Ryerson University’s student papers.
Paula holds a Master of Journalism degree from Ryerson University and a Combined Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.
She specializes in daily news journalism, feature and longform writing. She covers power and politics, race issues, stories from Asian diasporic communities, and identity politics.
